Senior Wireless PHY Expert

As a Senior Wireless PHY expert, you will be a member of the Tel-Aviv Research Center (TRC) Wi-Fi Group, responsible for:

·        Working as part of a global standardization team, participating in standard meetings and contributing to the development of next generation wireless standards

·        Developing and simulating innovative PHY features, protocols and algorithms in MATLAB/Python, focused on optimizing wireless KPIs such as throughput & latency under various use cases, and carrying out simulation data analysis

·        Collaborating with internal research teams, initiating and leading innovative technical solutions & contributing to the development of novel PHY features, algorithms and intellectual property

·        Collaborating with international product development teams in order to bring new features and algorithms into the end product & analyzing trade-offs between KPI benefits vs. design and architecture impact and complexity

Qualifications

Mandatory:

·        6+ years of experience as an algorithm or system engineer in the field of Wi-Fi/WiGig/5G NR

·        B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field

·        System view and profound understanding of the 802.11ad/ay or 5G NR (mmWave bands) PHY Layer

·        Hands-on MATLAB or Python experience

·        Team player with good interpersonal and communications skills

·        Self-motivated and able to work independently

Advantage:

·        802.11 or 3GPP standardization experience

·        Knowledge of the 802.11n/ac/ax/be standards

·        Experience with design and/or development of 802.11/3GPP performance-oriented algorithms (e.g. MIMO detection, channel estimation, synchronization, beam-tracking, etc.)

·        Good understanding of 802.11 MAC/PHY interfaces
